Jimmy Lee “Jim” Beasley, 78, of Carbon Hill, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Baptist Medical Center Princeton in Birmingham.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2017, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Bowen Funeral Home in Winfield. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at 7 p.m. in the Bowen Funeral Home Chapel. Joey Vick will officiate. Burial will follow Thursday morning at Carbon Hill Memory Gardens in Carbon Hill.

Beasley was preceded in death by his parents, Clovis Beasley and Bessie Hyde Beasley; son, Jimmy Lee Beasley Jr.; two brothers, Junior Beasley and Kenneth Beasley; and three sisters, Mary Smith, Patricia Dooley and Lucy Beasley.

He is survived by his wife, Gwinnette Beasley of Carbon Hill; daughter, Lisa Cortez (Ramiro) of Kokomo, Ind.; four sons, Roger Beasley (Valerie) of Kokomo, Ind., Anton Anderssen (Marco) of Detroit, Mich., Jeremy Brasseal of Atlanta, Ga., and Jamie Brasseal of Nauvoo; grandchildren, Nathan and Hazel Thornton, Nicolas Cortez, Austin Cortez and his fiance, Kristen Bates, Tyler Brasseal and Skyler Brasseal; great-grandchild, Roman Thornton; two brothers, David Beasley (September) of Jasper and Billy Beasley (Elizabeth) of Kansas, Ala.; sister, Inez O’Shea of Carbon Hill; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
